Training and Information Literacy
The Training Department promotes information literacy (IL) to HSC faculty, staff, students, and healthcare professionals through instruction, consultation, training sessions, tours, and orientation programs on HSCLA resources. Services include group and one-to-one instruction on accessing online information, eBooks, databases, online journals, and other electronic resources. Librarians also develop user guides, video tutorials, and other learning materials.
Training Programs
Individual and group training sessions are offered throughout the academic year, from introductory sessions for freshmen to advanced sessions for undergraduates, postgraduates, academic, and non-academic staff.

Group Training Sessions
- Formal sessions scheduled by the library for searching databases and other electronic resources.
- Formal sessions arranged by Faculty for HSC Classes.
- To request group training sessions, a formal letter must be submitted to HSC Library Administration - Training and literature search department or an email can be sent to Library Administration.
