At a Glance
The Kuwait University Medical Library, established in 1976, was restructured as the Health Sciences Library Administration (HSCLA) in 2009.
HSCLA supports the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Allied Health, and also serves hospital patrons. In recognition of its outstanding performance, HSCLA was awarded the Best Administrative Excellence Award in 2011.

HSCLA boasts a diverse collection of easily accessible printed and electronic materials:
- 33,471 book titles
- 1,950 printed journal titles
- 2,277 audiovisual titles
- Access to eBooks, e-Journals, abstract databases, and evidence-based clinical information databases
Remote access services are available, enabling off-campus access to materials. The virtual library's e-resources are regularly updated.
Patrons are encouraged to utilize literature search references, circulation services, and interlibrary loans for materials not available in Kuwait libraries. The library provides a welcoming study environment, with librarians readily available to assist with any inquiries or support.
